About us at HTA Region Stockholm

HTA Region Stockholm serves as a center for evaluating the scientific foundation of healthcare methods and processes. A Health Technology Assessment (HTA) provides insight into the benefits, risks, health economics, and ethical considerations of the methods under review. This analysis supports prioritization and evidence-based decision-making regarding the structure and delivery of healthcare.

Our organization

We are part of the Center for Health Economics, Informatics and Healthcare Research – Centrum för hälsoekonomi, informatik och sjukvårdsforskning (CHIS) – within Stockholm Health Care Services - Stockholms läns landsting (SLSO), under Region Stockholm. Our primary work is on behalf of the Health and Medical Care Administration – Hälso- och sjukvårdsförvaltningen (HSF) – of Region Stockholm, but we are also able to undertake projects for other public sector entities. As a university healthcare unit, CHIS conducts high-quality research at both national and international levels, offers top-tier education, and contributes to evidence-based healthcare by applying our research findings to practical care while continuously evaluating both established and new methods.
